Varadero has to have one of the finest beaches in the entire Caribbean. Although large resort hotels now line the shore, the beaches are so expansive that they will very seldom be crowded. And what beaches! No need to search for the perfect spot, since Varadero is located on on 20 kms of white powdery sand that makes up the Peninsula de Hicacos. Naturally watersports are a key ingredient of your holiday, and most hotels offer a wide range of activities.

The largest city and capital of Cuba, Havana offers a glimpse into the past. Many of the Colonial Spanish buildings in Havana have undergone restoration, and in Old Havana the cobbled squares and colonnades reflect the city's ancient heritage. Stroll along the Maleçon, the two-mile promenade along the seafront or visit El Morro, a typical Spanish fort which dates from the 16th century.
Since the U.S. embargo of the island, Cubans have not been able to buy cars, the only new ones are rentals for tourists, so the streets of Havana are full of vintage models from the fifties, replete with grills, fins and acres of chrome, lovingly maintained and nursed along by their proud owners.
Don't miss the 18th-century baroque cathedral. A somewhat unusual tourist attraction is the Cristóbal Colón cemetery, an amazingly intricate vista of ornate monuments and headstones which is a great photo opportunity. Hemingway fans won't want to miss the Bodeguita del Medio, home of the mojito and a million autographs all over the walls and ceilings.

Cubans have a love affair with music, and you will find many dance clubs in Havana where the salsa beat throbs out into the night. The famous El Tropicana nightclub is well worth a visit, with its showgirls and elaborate costumes.

The “mojito” – a unique combination of sugar, fresh mint, soda water, lime juice and rum – is a refreshing drink in the hot Cuban sun. A popular Cuban drink, Ernest Hemingway made the mojito famous with his taste for the Caribbean beverage.

Cuba is not a shoppers' mecca, but a variety of attractive handicrafts are available, and of course the famous Havana Club rum and numerous excellent cigars are a good buy. If bargaining at a craft market, Cubans normally ask a fairly low price which will not move very much, so don't offer half of what they suggest, this would be an insult. If you are planning on bringing back some Cuban cigars, consider a visit to La Casa del Habano, where, since 1845, 500 workers have hand-rolled cigars while a colleague reads a newspaper out loud to them.

Memories Jibacoa consists of 250 guests rooms, including 10 Tropical Suites in an eighteen two-storey, hacienda-style buildings with staircase access only. All of our rooms feature 1 king sized or 2 twin beds, air conditioning, telephone, private bathroom, private climate control safety deposit box, cable TV, coffee/tea maker, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, clock radio, and balcony.

Standard Gardenview Room

Tropical/Oceanview Room

Majority of those rooms are located on the second floor, oceanview rooms have a king sized bed, air-conditioning, telephone, private bathroom, private climate control, safety deposit box, cable TV, coffee/tea maker, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, balcony, mini-fridge (stocked with a bottle of water only), and a separate living room.

Standard Poolview Room

Poolview rooms are outfitted with king sized bed or 2 twin beds, air-conditioning, telephone, private bathroom, private climate control safety deposit box, cable TV, coffee/tea maker, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, and balcony.

** Program fee covers the instructor and one travel companion all-inclusive for one week.

Gift Fund:  All resorts participate in our Gift Fund. The gift fund is a courtesy and provides resorts with fitness, entertainment and sports equipment. Even luxury properties do not have budgets for the activity/entertainment department. Guest instructors take pride in helping provide items that our resort partners have difficulty acquiring. NRG2GO will completely prepare you in advance regarding what to take.

Extra Companion

One companion is included in the program fee.  The cost for an additional companion is $  per night and this fee is paid directly to the hotel upon check-in.  Maximum 3 adults in the instructor room.  Teenagers are considered adults.
